I'm very sure I'm not the only one who thinks or said this: Rap music today, sucks. All except the instrumentals behind them. Now-now, not all of them are horrible, degrading, repetitive, time wasting piles of trash--some of them have a good stances.
With only the instrumentals, I always like the idea of making it cross-genre. You know, remixes/covers. Most of them I'd like to hear a little metal/rock/whatever you wish to call it. Even some dub. With that being said, sometimes even a different, "music style(?)" would also change my view on the lyrics.
*Better Without the Lyrics*
First, the ones are, well, not that appealing (to me, anyway). Not all are *rap*:
8: Gucci Mane - Work Ya Wrist
(*from Ice Attack*)
7: Nelly ft. T-Pain & Akon - Move That Body
6: Far East Movement - Like A G6
5: Yung Joc - I Know You See It
4: Ron Browz - Jumping Out The Window
3: Jason Derulo - Watcha Say
2: Rihanna ft. Young Jeezy - Hard
(*the rock instru. is better*)
and ..
1: 50 Cent - Down On Me
I have to point out though. Numbers 6, and 1 make it all worth it when watching these videos:
